Which Disney Princess Would Be the Ultimate Zombie Survivor?

Zombies are a tricky bunch and you need superior skills to overcome them. Survivors need to be able to work with their surroundings, take care of themselves, be creative in difficult situations, and in some cases, know how to lead other survivors to safety.

With that in mind, I was curious to see how well the Disney Princesses would hold up if the Magic Kingdom suddenly found itself in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

Now, I understand and respect that there are a vast number of Disney Princesses. I also know that while many consider Nala, Maid Marian, Kida, Eilonwy, and others to be Disney Princesses. However...they are rarely seen as such in Disney advertising. With that in mind, I've kept my list of Disney princesses down to the ones that most children would not have to ask which movie they are from.

Our contenders are Mulan, Rapunzel, Elsa, Ana, Aurora, Pocahontas, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Merida, Moana, Tiana, and (honorary) Leia.

I pitted each princess up against some simple zombie survival skills and based their ability in each category on their original Disney film (not the prequels or the sequels):

• Independent

• Problem Solving Skills

• Weaponry Skills

• First Aid

• Knowledge

• Creative

• Hunting

• Cooking

• Navigation

• Farming

• Knot Tying

• Swimming

• Climbing

• Running

• Bonus Points: Magical resources/friends

To survive, a princess had to score in at least eight of the skills and anything twelve and above put her in the leader category.

Our zombie walker food turned out to be: Snow White (3/14) and Aurora (1/14). To be fair, Snow and Aurora do not get a lot of on-screen time for us to determine how well they would handle much more than being swept off by a prince.

Meanwhile, our zombie survivors are  Jasmine (7/15), Rapunzel (11/14), Elsa (8/14), Ana (8/14), Pocahontas (11/14), Belle (11/14), Ariel (8/14) and honorary Disney Princess Leia (8/14).

Our leaders would be Mulan (14/14), Moana (13/14), and Merida (15/14, that bonus for communicating with animals put her over the 14 max).

I was surprised at the results for Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Tiana. Jasmine and Tiana can both hold their own, but when it comes to surviving zombies, they barely make the cut.

Seeing Merida, Moana, and Mulan come out on top as the leaders was no surprise to me considering they all have strong storylines and abilities that allow them to survive in their respective worlds. If a zombie apocalypse was to happen, you would find me on one of their teams in a heartbeat.
