I don't have to respond to a personal e-mail or message if I don't want to.
If someone is hurtful, toxic, or otherwise just not my kind of person, it's okay to shut them out and move on.
Saying sorry is more than just saying, "I'm sorry." It's about following up with a new habit or action.
Nap time is precious.
Ice cream for breakfast is acceptable sometimes.
You don't have to share.
Control is an illusion.
All that changed when I turned 18 is I'm now legally responsible for my screw-ups.
It's okay to still love the things you had as a child. Growing up doesn't mean they lose how special they are. You just appreciate them more.
Just because you are an adult doesn't mean you know what you are doing.
